How to Start a Workout on Apple Watch

Make sure your Apple Watch is properly paired with your iPhone and both devices are in close proximity.

On your Apple Watch, press the Digital Crown (the wheel on the side of the watch) to bring up the app screen.

Look for the “Workout” app icon, a green icon with a running figure inside. Tap it to open the app.

Once the Workout app is open, you will see a list of workout types such as Outdoor Run, Indoor Cycle, or HIIT. Scroll through the list or use the Digital Crown to find the workout type you want to start.

Once you have selected the workout type you want, tap it to confirm your selection.

On the next screen, you can customize your workout settings, such as setting a goal, enabling notifications, or adjusting readings. You can swipe left or right to access different options, and use or touch the digital crown to make adjustments.

When you are ready to start your workout, tap the “Start” button at the bottom of the screen. The timer will start and you will see your workout data displayed on the screen.

During your workout, you can swipe from right to left to view more readings, or swipe from left to right to access music controls or other features.

To end your workout, swipe from right to left until you see the Exit button. Tap it, and then select “Exit Workout” to confirm.

After you finish the workout, you will see a summary of your workout details. You can choose to save or discard the workout by tapping the appropriate option.
